Thanks Alex, yes we will definately enjoy looking at your ‘larger’ photos!

The three of us are avid postcrossing nuts and like sending out your postcards when we get requests for landscapes. Its quite hard to get good quality postcards in WA and your cards are only available in the SW and we dont go down there very often!

What is postcrossing? Well its a postcard exchange project that recently hit the 10 million postcard sent worldwide milestone.

Chris, sounds like the workshop struck the right chord with you, it certainly was a bonus for me to see your face light up after you got a handle on those swings and tilts that had bothered you for so long! As always I learn new things from participants too at workshops. Thanks for bringing along your Zone VI field camera, I have, until now, not had a chance to use one, in the meantime, get that darkroom of yours back into operation!

James, thanks for the great feedback about today’s workshop. As a workshop participant who does not yet own any 4×5 gear (and is thinking of buying some) it is gratifying to know that the workshop has given you confidence to pursue your interests further in large format photography. It also confirms to me how valuable it is for 4×5 newcomers like yourself to have the opportunity to work with a large format camera to gain experience first hand. Let me know when you have got some gear!

Magic workshop at Kent Street Weir. It recharged me to the extent that I will have my darkroom back in action within a week. I learnt lots and realised that shooting 4 x 5 is not as hard as I previously thought ( did some some years back)

I just wanted to thank you for your informative workshop today. As someone who has never used a large format camera before, your instruction was clear and simple. I now feel confident that I could go out and produce photos with a large format camera.
